Read-A-Thon is PTSA's biggest fundraiser of the year, helping us fund social events like Trunk-Or-Treat, academic programs like Ground Education ("the garden"), field trips, and so much more! Our fundraising goal this year is $50,000, and if we reach it, Principal Thompson will get sawed in half at a magic show for the whole school!
This year's theme is Reading is Magical. During Read-A-Thon, your Spartan Scholar asks for pledges from their family, friends, and community to encourage their love of reading. We use PledgeStar to collect pledges and record the minutes your children spend reading. The classes that raise the most money or record the most minutes will win a party from PTSA! Registering is easy, and PledgeStar can import your address book to make contacting your friends and family easy. Let's support our young Newcomb readers and help raise money for PTSA's programs!
